Blue-eyed

Blue-eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium bellum)

A native perennial in the Iris Family, found in moist grassy areas on Bodega Head.  The flowers (~1-2 cm in diameter) are ephemeral (short-lived).  Look for them in bloom from March through May.

For the last 1/2 hour after seeing your blog I've been singing,

"Two foot two, eyes a blue
but oh what those two feet could do
has anybody seen my fleur?"
