We've had a very busy week of early morning field work, but here's a photo from a few days ago. We came upon this River Otter (Lontra canadensis) in the rocky intertidal zone. The otter alternated between napping and grooming...including a few back-rubbing episodes! This kelp-covered rock seemed like a perfect place to rest and prepare for the next adventure!
