Early morning reflections

I had to work today, but I went in early to catch the incoming tide in Bodega Harbor before I started my day behind the desk.

On the tidal flats there was a little fog to the west, but the sun had just come up to the east, and there wasn't any wind.  The morning light and the reflections in the shallow water were spectacular.

Marbled Godwits (Limosa fedoa)

Sanderling (Calidris alba)

Dunlin (Calidris alpina)

Snowy Plover (Charadrius nivosus)

What a nice way to start 2014!
