Nearing the end of the tale
A quick follow-up to the

" post on 22 May 2018

A Sierran Treefrog (
Pseudacris sierra
) that's transitioning
—
the little froglet has fully developed limbs, but it has yet to resorb its tail.
It was sitting under water in a shallow pool along the coast in northern Sonoma County on 1 June 2018.
