With the hope that some nice photos will help other people, too, here are a few images from Putah Creek this afternoon:
Green Heron (Butorides virescens)
Wood Duck (Aix sponsa)
Bushtit (Psaltriparus minimus)
Red-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis)
P.S. A world of thanks to all of the firefighters and the incredible team of people who have been working so hard to fight the Kincade Fire and to coordinate and communicate with everyone in the community. Our appreciation is hard to express.
Take good care, our hearts are with you all!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you thank you!!
ReplyDeleteWe evacuated to the home of a relative in San Jose, and while we were there took advantage of the opportunity to visit, again the contemporary art collection at the Anderson Gallery at Stanford U in Palo Alto. As we walked up the broad steps to the first floor of the gallery, a stunning Jackson Pollack painting slowly revealed itself to us. It helped us stop to breathe and re-center.
I'm not sure what we'd do without birds, music, and art.
(Your capture of the bushtit made me laugh out loud!)
