Holiday flight

We went for a beautiful morning walk at Limantour Beach today (27 November 2020).  Nice light and wonderful flocks of shorebirds (especially Sanderling and Dunlin).  I couldn't choose just one picture, so here are several.  Enjoy!  [You can click on them for larger versions.]

Amazing in the first photo how the shape of the flock almost exactly mimics the shape of the cliff face

Hi, Maggie!

That's exactly what Eric said! To me, these dynamic flocks of shorebirds in flight are magical. Better suited to a video than a still photo, but this is what I have.

My most favorite place! Thanks for posting these photos as I haven't been out there in a couple weeks!
