October sun

It was warm in the sun this afternoon and I turned the corner to see a flash of blue:

Can you tell what it is?

A nice look at a Western Fence Lizard (Sceloporus occidentalis) basking at the edge of a crevice between two blocks.

We called them "blue-bellied lizards" when I was growing up, something I'd forgotten until seeing your images. You've done a wonderful job of capturing the color in certain light.
