Storm swell
Pretty serious west swell today (22 October 2021) —the Point Reyes offshore buoy was reporting wave heights between 12-15 feet.
If you're at the coast this weekend, it's a good time to be aware of waves running far up the beach. Be safe!

Utterly fantastic photo of the Pelican clan against the waves! I need to keep this one on my desktop as inspriation. Thanks so much Jackie for your ongoing field notes. While walking the beaches of Oregon they keep me connected to my roots in Sonoma County.
Bryant! Thanks so much! That pelican shot was all luck.
So good to hear from you! Last we talked, you were contemplating your future. If you get a chance, let me know what you've been up to! Fun to think about you exploring the Oregon beaches.
