Rolling by

Early this morning we were woken up several times by loud rolling thunder.  When I got up to try to record it, I also noticed flashes of lightning off to the southeast.

First, here's a very quick video clip of the lightning:

We heard that thunder here, south of Sebastopol. It sounded like the world was coming to an end.

Hi, Alice!

Yes, that was pretty impressive thunder. Very loud, and it just kept rumbling and rumbling and rumbling. When I record thunder, I have to turn the recording level way down, otherwise the sound is greatly distorted.
