Multi-porpoise

A few quick shots of Harbor Porpoises (Phocoena phocoena) from Limantour Beach on 23 August 2025.

Sea conditions were relatively calm today, making it easier to spot the porpoises.  But it was hard to tell how many were in this group.  Eric and I agree on at least three individuals, but there could have been more.  I wasn't able to photograph more than two at once.

"Multi-porpoise"?
Groan.
But THANK YOU for these views!
I continue to be grateful for your on-going ability to show us how astonishing our actual world is.

Well, you know what they say..."a (hu)man without a porpoise is like a ship without a rudder" ;)

Hmmmm, I'm not sure!

I've always loved reading and a clever turn-of-phrase. I also enjoy learning about different languages and word origins. It's possible that growing up where I did in New England encouraged the development of quick "comebacks" during conversations, and sometimes puns can be useful in those situations. And I like games, so I suppose coming up with a pun is a form of a word game. And puns make me laugh; although I understand that some people really don't like them!

But I'm sure glad I used a pun in this post because you introduced me to ensorcel! What a great word!
