Festive

A male Harlequin Duck (Histrionicus histrionicus) has been observed near the entrance to Bodega Harbor during the past month.  I swung by to see it yesterday (31 December 2018).  Although distant, here are a couple of shots for the record.  It was spending time near the boat channel just offshore of the boat ramp at Doran Beach.

P.S.  For a little more information about Harlequin Ducks, see the post from 11 May 2012.
