Spring things

You know it's spring in Bodega Bay when — 

Large numbers of By-the-wind Sailors (Velella velella) wash ashore:

 


At 7 a.m., the wind is already blowing 20-25 mph with higher gusts:

 


You're trying to do field work in the foam!
