Sculpin diversity



A few more beautiful sculpins for you from the local tidepools.  (Someday I'll be able to identify which species they are.  If you can help, let me know!)

Hi Jackie! The first sculpin here (and the one two posts down) looks like a fluffy sculpin (Oligocottus snyderi)- the cirri at the base of the dorsal fins and on the tips of the dorsal fin spines are distinctive for this species. The second one looks like it might be a bald sculpin (Clinocottus recalvus), but I'm not 100% sure.
