Ready for supper

It feels like these little hummingbirds are getting very close to fledging, so I checked on them after work tonight (12 March 2024).  They were ready for supper, just like me!

I've really enjoyed following them through these photos!

I've also loved following their progress. Thank you! We have resident Annas who know me well, as I put feeders out even when I have to change them every 15 minutes on the coldest days. But I have no idea where they nest!

Hi, Alice and Wendy!

Thanks! I, too, have enjoyed checking on these little hummers. Interesting that they nest so early in the year. I read that the timing might be related to when some of the native shrubs are flowering, like currant.

I'm writing on 13 March 2024, so check that post for an update!
