Question: "Are jellyfish edible?"
Answer: "Why, yes!" replied the sea anemone.
This Giant Green Anemone (Anthopleura xanthogrammica) appeared to be ingesting a Pacific Sea Nettle (Chrysaora fuscescens). Photographed on 20 June 2019.
I have seen jellyfish eaten in Micronesia. I also learned that Portuguese Man of War windrows on the beach are a sign of Breadfruit season. They are also cooked (disabling the protein venoms) and eaten.
I have heard that some jellyfish can be eaten if prepared properly, but I haven't heard that Portuguese Man O'War can be eaten. Their toxins are known to be quite dangerous (even fatal) to people. For some information about them:
